Summary

We are working closely alongside with a local authority in West Sussex to assist with the appointment of a Administrator/Note Taker on a 4.5-months contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Summary:

Join West Sussex County Council as a part-time Administrator / Note Taker (Grade 5) based in Chichester. Working 22.25 hours per week under a hybrid arrangement, you will deliver a critical, customer-focused, and efficient administrative service to the team.This role requires a high degree of integrity and professionalism to manage sensitive and confidential processes, particularly when undertaking complex note-taking duties. You will be responsible for prioritizing a diverse range of tasks to meet strict service objectives and delivery timescales.

Responsibilities:

Providing an efficient and customer-focused administrative service, proactively prioritising daily tasks in line with team requirements.
Delivering accurate and high-quality note-taking at complex, sensitive, and/or highly confidential meetings and statutory panels.
Preparing comprehensive reports, agendas, accurate meeting minutes, and detailed spreadsheets
Maintaining and updating council IT systems to ensure data integrity and support ongoing service delivery
Demonstrating the personal resilience, integrity, and professionalism required when participating in sensitive or potentially disturbing processes. 
Essentials:

Strong core administrative / office skills and demonstrable experience in a demanding environment.
Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to concentrate for long periods of time to produce accurate and meaningful outputs (e.g., meeting notes).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary to build and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally.
Proven ability to organize and prioritise a diverse workload and consistently deliver tasks to agreed deadlines.
