Summary
Site Associate
Queen’s Park Academy is seeking a proactive and hands-on Site Associate to join our dedicated Site Team.
You will be responsible for the maintenance, security and efficient operation of the school premises and grounds, ensuring high standards of health, safety, and compliance are consistently met.
This is a physically active role requiring strong practical skills, initiative, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean and welcoming environment for our students, staff and visitors.

The successful candidate will have:
Experience of site duties in a general capacity
Experience working in a school environment - desirable
Basic handy-person skills, able to carry out minor repairs including: some simple plumbing and joinery work
Substantial knowledge of Health and Safety, including COSHH
Knowledge of legionella issues and testing
Strong IT skills
Excellent communication skills
Ability to problem solve and use own initiative
An understanding of safeguarding and willingness to undertake training relevant to the role
Current valid full driving licence - Able to drive the school minibus when required.

Salary: AS 4 - 8
Job role: Permanent, Full-time, 52 weeks per year (25 days annual leave plus 3 days between Christmas & New Year)
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, worked on a rota between 6:45am and 6:15pm
Working Pattern
Shift 1: 6:45am–2:45pm (Mon–Thurs), 6:45am–2:15pm (Fri)
Shift 2: 10:15am–6:15pm (Mon–Thurs), 10:45am–6:15pm (Fri)
(Worked on a rota basis)
