Can you ‘MAKE IT HAPPEN’? Could you be our next dynamic and enthusiastic Customer & Business Support Section Lead within our Staffing & Recruitment Team who thrives in a fast-paced environment of continuous change and improvement?
You will assist the Customer & Business Support Team Lead in providing, through effective leadership and management of people, processes and resources, a customer focussed, efficient and effective staffing and recruitment business support service. You will drive continuous change and improvement and work closely with all areas of the Council.
The ideal person for this role will have a positive ‘can do’ attitude and the drive to ‘make it happen’ with a proactive, adaptable, flexible nature and committed to making a positive impact in their work.
You will have:
- A qualification to SVQ Level 3 in business, administration or equivalent.
- Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, with a particular focus on the importance of attention to detail.
- Sound planning, organisational and analytical skills and be able to work to deadlines within a busy team, ensuring excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Experience of managing a team, providing motivational leadership, support and development to team members.
- Highly developed IT Skills, including MS Office packages, and to be able to work in conjunction with other Council Systems teams to inform, support and assist in the development of current and new HR Systems.
- Experience in data protection legislation.
Ideally you will also have:
- Experience and background within a staffing and recruitment environment.
- Knowledge and experience of local authority services.
- Knowledge of change management approaches.

This role offers hybrid working, allowing employees to work both from home and in Council locations, to support business needs. We promote a balanced approach, ensuring staff have the right environment to collaborate with colleagues while also having the option to work independently when appropriate.
This is a full-time permanent post, 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.
