About the Role

Falkirk Council is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our Property Services Team. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations across council properties. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the local community while working in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with current regulations (BS 7671).
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently and safely.
  • Conduct electrical testing and inspections, producing relevant certification.
  • Collaborate with other trades and council staff to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Provide excellent customer service to tenants, staff, and stakeholders.

About You

We are looking for a qualified electrician with a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering high standards. You should have:

  • A recognised electrical apprenticeship (SVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
  • Experience in electrical maintenance, fault finding, and installation work.
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices in a construction or maintenance environment.
  • A full UK driving licence (essential).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
