About the Role
Sugarman Health and Wellbeing seeks a Care Assistant to support a male Service User with C2 Spinal Injury, tracheotomy, and ventilator dependency in his home. Full clinical training provided.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting
- Assisting with mobility and manual handling
- Supporting with meal preparation and feeding, where necessary
- Monitoring and recording vital signs (after training)
- Offering companionship and emotional support
- Prompting or assisting with medication (where required and trained)
- Helping with household tasks such as cleaning and laundry
- Following care plans and reporting changes or concerns to the care team
- Maintaining dignity, respect, and confidentiality at all times
Who We're Looking for
We're looking for individuals who are compassionate, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality care. Ideally, you will have:
- Essential: 6 Months of care experience
- Driving License required, Ability to drive a mobility van
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, resilience, flexibility, and Computer literate.
- able to work with dogs present
