We are recruiting for aStaff Nursefor ourPaediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). If you are aBand 5 Nursewith at least 12 months’ post-qualification experience, we would love to hear from you. This position will complement our existing nursing team and allow you to work within our dynamic and friendly environment.
The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary team of skilled and highly motivated staff who provide quality care to children with a wide variety of conditions, including medical, surgical, trauma, orthopaedics, plastics, ENT, and the largest Bone Marrow Transplant Centre for non-malignant blood disorders.
St Mary’s Hospitalis a designated children’s and adult major trauma centre with a dedicated 24/7 children’s Emergency Department and a specialist High Consequence Infectious Disease Unit within our PICU. We work closely with our High Dependency Unit at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital as part ofWest London Children’s Healthcare (WLCH).
We are looking for a Band 5 nurse who is committed to delivering high-quality care and supporting our current and future services. The post holder must be willing to engage in development opportunities and be enthusiastic about their own growth. In return, we will help you enhance your skills in caring for critically unwell children.

• Deliver efficient, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to patients and their families.
• Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, minimising risk and supporting the Ward Manager in investigating incidents and improving practice.
• Actively safeguard children and young people, ensuring their wellbeing at all times.
• Apply evidence-based practice and contribute to the ongoing development of nursing within West London Children’s Healthcare (WLCH) and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
• Demonstrate courtesy, sensitivity, and professionalism when interacting with patients, families, visitors, and colleagues, fostering positive relationships.
• Share and promote good practice within the ward, department, and across the Trust.
• Represent WLCH and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust positively in all interactions.
• Work collaboratively with all members of the ward team to ensure the highest standards of care and service for patients
