What You’ll Be Doing
As a Trainee Senior Support Worker, you’ll:
- Provide hands-on support to individuals with autism, tailored to their unique strengths and needs
- Assist with personal care, meal prep, and maintaining a welcoming, homely environment
- Support engagement in recreational, educational, and social activities
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Support Workers, promoting high-quality care
- Develop and review person-centred care plans, helping individuals achieve their goals
- Collaborate with families, professionals, and colleagues to deliver holistic support
- Keep accurate records and reports to meet care standards
- Flexible with shift patterns, including weekends and occasional night shifts
- A driving licence is essential
Who We’re Looking For
- Experienced in supporting individuals with autism or in similar care settings
- Ideally holds, or is working towards, QCF/NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
- A positive, can-do attitude with a love of teamwork
- Compassion, patience, and a sense of humour — because no two days are ever the same!
- Enthusiasm to develop leadership skills and grow in your career
