Summary

We're seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Children's Home Manager to lead a trauma-informed, multi-bed residential home in Bridgwater. This is a full-time, permanent position, ideal for a confident care leader who thrives in a values-driven, child-focused environment.

As the Registered Manager, you'll take full responsibility for the home's performance, compliance, and culture. You'll guide and inspire a team of care professionals, ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding, therapeutic care, and emotional support are delivered consistently.

This is more than a management role - it's a chance to shape lives. You'll create a stable, supportive space where vulnerable adolescents can recover, grow, and prepare for the next chapter of their lives.

The role comes with a competitive salary, £2,000 car allowance, performance-based occupancy and Ofsted bonuses, plus pension and sick pay benefits. You'll be supported by a forward-thinking leadership team and a provider that genuinely invests in its people.

Ensure safeguarding, safety and quality of care at all times

Supervise and develop a skilled team of residential staff

Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and placement transitions

Build positive relationships with external agencies, professionals, and families

Drive continuous improvement aligned with Ofsted and statutory standards

Monitor occupancy and contribute to strategic planning and budgeting

Qualifications and Experience

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

Experience managing or deputising in a children's residential setting

Deep understanding of Ofsted regulations, care planning and safeguarding

Confident team leader with excellent communication and planning skills

Trauma-informed and child-centred approach to leadership

Full UK driving licence required
