Summary
Act as a specialist clinical pharmacist in cancer services, providing expert clinical support for the safe and effective delivery of chemotherapy prescriptions following completion of competency-based assessments. Support the wider pharmacy team by offering technical and professional guidance on all aspects of aseptic preparation of pharmaceutical products within the Trust, including oversight of appropriately outsourced aseptic products. Contribute to the operation and development of the aseptic unit in line with the NHS Long Term Plan ambitions for cancer care, ensuring high standards of quality and patient safety. Implement Trust policies and national guidance related to the pharmaceutical care of haematology and oncology patients, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to optimise treatment outcomes.
