Summary

Main Purpose: Maintenance and development of the Quality, Food Safety and Product Integrity Management Systems and ensuring compliance against legal and customer requirements .

Main Duties and Key Areas of Responsibility:

· Preparation, conducting GAP analysis for legal, food safety and customer standards and aligning Mansfield’s Quality Management system to requirements. This would include but not be limited to BRC, Tesco TFS, Red Tractor, Global GAP, M&S Food Safety and Quality Standard, M&S Brand Integrity Standard, Waitrose Technical Standard, Sainsbury’s Food Safety and Responsible Sourcing Manuals and other customer code of practices (including showing auditors and customers around the site and presenting files)

· Undertaking supplier / contractor due diligence and ensuring compliance documentation is requested, filed and up to date

· To support the preparation for and when required manage/lead customer/marketing group technical/quality visits/ audits and Day-to-Day Technical relationship with Customer Technical Team.

· To support maintaining Food Safety, Product Integrity, Quality Management System and Specifications.

· To drive a positive food safety and quality culture within the business at all levels and engage all departments.

· To support external audits e.g. BRC and customer audits.

· To manage the internal audit schedule to verify the compliance with and effectiveness of the HACCP Systems, Quality Management Systems and compliance with legal and customer codes of practices / requirements.

· To develop HACCP Awareness in the business including internal training programme.

· To manage Company’s microbiology and pesticide testing schedules.

· To manage and report overall service levels, customer complaints and rejections including root cause analysis and providing corrective action plan completion.

· Responsibility of document control system for the business.

· Managing supplier / contractor due diligence.

Skills:

· Experience in technical or quality assurance role within a food industry

· Food Safety Certification

· HACCP Level 2

· Understanding of general legal and customer requirements / standards within food production

· Team management experience

· Good computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, Outlook)

· Analytical and strategical thinking

· Good organisation skills and ability to prioritise workloads and juggle competing demands

· Good interpersonal skills

· Good team player within the whole business

· Problem solving
