Summary
To carry out pre-employment screening and testing of EPP staff. This includes pre-testcounselling for Hepatitis C & HIV. To ensure that accurate staff health data is entered onto the Occupational Healthcomputerised database (CORITY). To carry out venepuncture as needed To assess needlestick injuries and splash incidents and under guidance from the Senior OH Advisor to provide immediate and follow up care To advise the OH Team Lead and Occupational Health Administrator of any necessary material resources required for the department Responsible for stock check of vaccines and daily fridge temperature checks To carry out workstation assessments where medically indicated, and make recommendations for any changes in working practice or equipment purchase If required by the OH Team Lead/Service Lead to represent the department at meetings both within the Trust and externally To work with other Occupational Health staff and the Infection Control Department to provide the best possible care in the event of an outbreak of an infectious disease or other major health alert. To be competent in core vaccination schedules and PGDs for Hepatitis B, MMR, Pertusis, TB, Prep requirement and HIV exposure risk awareness.
