Model Making CAD Support | North London | Full Time | £28,000 - £40,000 per annum

Our client is a North London–based architectural modelmaking studio where craftsmanship, precision, and creativity meet cutting-edge technology. The studio works across a wide range of projects — from large-scale marketing models to finely detailed interior pieces — always striving for the highest quality.

Are you the right person for the job?

• Proficient in CAD software — experience with Rhino is essential (ideally to an expert level), with AutoCAD and Revit also beneficial
• Highly experienced in 3D modelling and preparing files for CNC, laser cutting, and 3D printing
• Strong understanding of architectural drawings, scales, and model construction techniques
• Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work to deadlines
• Experience in an architectural modelmaking environment is advantageous
• Methodical, precise, and passionate about translating digital designs into physical models
• A creative, hands-on team player who thrives in a busy studio environment
• Used to managing a varied workload with simultaneous project requirements

What will your role look like?

• Prepare and refine CAD files for laser cutting, CNC, 3D printing, and other fabrication processes
• Translate architectural drawings, sketches, and 3D models into files suitable for physical model production
• Collaborate with model makers to troubleshoot and optimise files for fabrication
• Create detailed model kits from architectural drawings and 3D models
• Support prototyping, experimenting with materials, and testing fabrication methods
• Maintain clear, organised, and efficient CAD file structures

What can you expect in return?

• A friendly, creative studio environment, with the opportunity to make the role your own for the right candidate
• Opportunities to work on a wide range of high-profile architectural projects with global clients
• Competitive salary based on experience
• Twice-yearly bonus scheme and generous holiday allowance (23 days + Bank Holidays, and time off over Christmas)
• Ongoing training and professional development
• Company social activities, including trips and post-work get togethers
• Easy access to Harringay Green Lanes, Manor House & Finsbury Park stations
• A chance to be part of a growing studio where experimentation and craftsmanship are at the heart of everything they do
• Hybrid working possibility (following successful probation)
