Summary

We are currently recruiting for 2 Part time AO's for our client based at Titanic Quarter Belfast . The successful candidates will be required to start once the vetting paperwork and ANI completed.

Start date: ASAP

Rate of pay: £13.75ph

Hours: 22 hours per week ( Mon to Wed 9 to 5 ) shifts cannot change

Duration: up to 51 weeks

No holidays can be accommodated in the first 8 weeks of employment due to the training for this role.


Key Responsibilities:


  •   Retrieving public and staff orders from the stores.


  •   Monitoring cancelled orders, performing checks on misplaced items, and ensuring appropriate spreadsheets are updated;


  •   Issuing and returning orders to the public and staff, advising customers on ordering and use of equipment in the Reading Room.


  • They also process payments (cash handling onsite and remote payments) using the till/EPOS system, undertake daily till reconciliation, weekly banking lodgements, and paperwork.


  •   Collections management administration including recording and reporting;


  •   Entering collections data using Microsoft Excel;


  •   Oversee stores maintenance checks including reporting of issues;


  •   Monitoring security procedures and adherence to preservation handling guidance.


  •   Issuing documents to customers and staff


  •   This role involves lifting and carrying boxes of records and books weighing up to 8 kg and climbing ladders to retrieve and return records housed in racked shelving.


  •   This is a 9-5 onsite role Mon to Wed.


Essential Criteria applicants must have:

  • five GCSE/GCE passes (at A, B or C) with Maths and English.

  • Excellent IT skills, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Proven ability to use own initiative.
