About the Role:
- As a key member of their sports team, you'll be at the heart of student sport and physical activity.
- You'll lead on the coordination of their sports clubs, BUCS fixtures, and wellbeing initiatives, while supporting students to thrive in a vibrant, inclusive sporting environment.
- You'll be the go-to person for student sport queries, manage club affiliations, and work closely with student committees to deliver safe, engaging and competitive sport experiences.
- You'll also drive their social media presence and collaborate across departments to deliver exciting events and campaigns.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Be the first point of contact for student sport and physical activity enquiries.
- Coordinate BUCS fixtures, travel, officials, and results submissions.
- Support student sports clubs with governance, training, and development.
- Maintain relationships with external venues and ensure risk assessments are in place.
- Lead their sports social media channels with support from student media officers.
- Plan and deliver inclusive campaigns and events to boost participation.
- Collaborate with Student Life and Marketing teams to promote sport and wellbeing.
- Represent the organisation at BUCS meetings and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations.
- Administration tasks such as taking minutes of meetings, organising working groups and organising actions as the business needs require.
- Support flagship events like Varsity, Colour Run, and the annual Sports Awards.
- Contribute to recruitment and conversion events, including Open Days and Inductions.

- Experience in sport administration, ideally in HE or a governing body.
- Passionate about sport and creating inclusive student experiences.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Confident working with students and external stakeholders.
- A proactive, collaborative team player who lives their values of caring, being brave and bold, and being inclusive.
