About the Role
You will be the welcoming face of the University Club at weekends, ensuring guests, members, and staff enjoy a safe, professional, and friendly environment.
From managing reception and handling bookings to supervising weekend operations across the café, bar, and Club spaces, you’ll take pride in providing exceptional service and keeping everything running smoothly.
You’ll act as the senior person on duty - leading by example, supporting colleagues, resolving issues, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and presentation.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a customer-focused environment, enjoys working independently, and takes satisfaction in ensuring every visitor leaves with a great impression of Oxford.
Sponsorship and Right to Work
This role does not meet the criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa under the UK Visa & Immigration points-based system. We are therefore unable to offer sponsorship for this role.
About You
Proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service in a front-of-house or hospitality setting.
Experience of coordinating or supervising a small team.
Confident using initiative, especially when working independently
Experience working in reception, hospitality, or facilities roles.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong organisational skills.
You’ll also need a flexible approach, as occasional additional hours may be required to meet operational needs. Uniform and full training will be provided.
This role involves periods of lone working, with support available from the University’s Security Services team. Some manual handling is also required as part of the role, and training will be provided.
