Key Responsibilities:

Manage a complex caseload of children looked after, including those in foster care, residential care, or on child protection plans.

Conduct assessments, interventions, and reviews to ensure children’s safety, welfare, and developmental needs are met.

Develop and implement care plans and pathway plans in line with statutory requirements.

Work collaboratively within the CLA team, local authority services, and external agencies to achieve positive outcomes for children.

Provide guidance, supervision, and mentorship to junior social workers and students within the CLA team.

Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with UK social care legislation, safeguarding policies, and local authority procedures.

Attend and contribute to Looked After Children reviews, strategy meetings, and safeguarding conferences.

Essential Requirements:

Degree or Master’s in Social Work with current SWE registration.

Minimum 3+ years post-qualification experience, ideally with experience in Children Looked After, child protection, or safeguarding.

Strong understanding of UK social care legislation and statutory guidance relating to looked after children.

Excellent communication, organisational, and case management skills.

Right to work in the UK.
