Are you passionate about safety and delivering a great customer experience? We are seeking vigilant Relief Security Officers to join our team.

As a key member of our security operation, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding client sites and ensuring the safety of employees, visitors, and assets.​

Job Description

Relief Security Officers are required to support and strengthen existing teams, providing cover for both core and ad hoc activities. This includes advance notification of shifts, filling vacancies within the team rota, covering absences for sickness and holidays, and undertaking additional tasking as required.

This role suits an outgoing, adaptable individual who thrives on variety and enjoys new challenges. You will receive training to work across a range of environments including corporate offices, manufacturing, retail, and transport sites.

The Role

Ensure the physical security of client premises

Conduct regular patrols and inspections

Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, taking appropriate action

Enforce access control procedures and verify the identity of individuals on-site

Deliver excellent customer service by assisting and guiding visitors

Maintain accurate and detailed records of all security-related activities

Participate in induction and ongoing training as needed

Promote and maintain a safe and secure working environment at all times

Uphold high professional standards, reflecting the values and image of ISS

About You

Valid SIA licence

Proven experience in a security or related role

Strong observational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to emergencies

Excellent customer service skills

Sound knowledge of security protocols and procedures

Flexibility to work various shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays

For vetting purposes: BS7858-compliant documentation covering 5 years of employment/education history in the UK and 6 years of address history
