Job Title: Strategic Attendance Lead

Pay: NJC SCP 29 – 32(£38,628 – £41,511 pro rata)

Hours of Duty:37 hours per week (Term Time Only plus 10 Additional days) (40 weeks)

Closing Date: Sunday, 30th November 2025 (midnight)

CONTRACT: Permanent

We are looking for a dynamic and driven individual to take on the role of Strategic Attendance Lead, responsible for ensuring the highest levels of school attendance. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and lead a comprehensive attendance strategy that will have a significant impact on student engagement and achievement.

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate and Develop Strategy.
• Leadership and Implementation.
• Monitor and Report.
• Stakeholder Collaboration.
• Individual Attendance Plans.
• Home Visits & Legal Action.

Essential requirements

• Strong understanding of legal requirements and best practices related to school attendance
• Excellent leadership, coaching and mentoring skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders
• A data-driven approach to decision-making and performance management
• A proactive and solution-focused mindset.
