Summary
Throughout the programme, you will be required to: Contribute to the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of pharmaceutical care within the Trust. Gain hands-on experience across the different areas of the pharmacy department, carrying out a wide range of duties under the supervision of qualified staff. Participate in ward-based and dispensary-based activities, developing skills in medicines optimisation and safe supply processes. Work closely with Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and other healthcare professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team. Rotate across different Trust sites to broaden your skills, knowledge, and professional experience. Undertake allocated and independent study, as required, to reinforce and extend your professional development. Ensure timely and successful completion of all elements of the training. Demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional development, reflecting on practice and seeking feedback to improve performance. Take part in regular appraisals and reviews, working towards agreed learning and performance objectives. Actively engage in team meetings, training, and supervision sessions to support learning and development. Work in line with departmental policies, professional standards, and relevant legislation (e.g. Health & Safety, Medicines Act). Present yourself professionally at all times, maintaining high standards of conduct and appearance. Commit fully to the Learning Agreement and adhere to its requirements throughout the training programme. This role provides a clear and structured pathway into pharmacy, combining formal training with practical workplace experience, all supported by experienced colleagues dedicated to your development.
