Summary
TEACHING ASSISTANT - SEN Support – KS1 and Early Years
required from January 2026
Fixed term to 31 August 2026 full time / term time only:
32.5 hours per week
5 days per week
8:30 am – 3:30pm (including 30-minute meal break)
Salary: £23,407 per annum (pro-rata to £29,698 scale point 5)We are looking for a qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and committed Key Stage 1 and Early Years teams, supporting children with complex needs within the classroom. The post will work across KS1 classes, as well as in the Early Years (Reception and Nursery classes).Our ideal candidates will have relevant knowledge / experience and will also have a Level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent. You will be expected to work flexibly with the class teacher, providing general support to other children as well as focused support to an individual child. The working pattern for both posts includes supervision of pupils at lunchtime.
