Salary: Grade G. SCP 23 £34,434 - SCP 28 £39,152

Hours Per Week: 36 hours

The Role

This role will be based within the very busy Housing Advice service, working on a new project to target Empty Homes within Tameside and ring them back into use using a variety of options and solutions

You will be working closely with colleagues from across the council and social landlords to create solutions along with building strong connections within communities.

You will be expected to participate in multi-agency meetings to support those most vulnerable in our communities to ensure sustainability of tenancies and accommodation arrangements.

We are seeking an experienced individual who has worked within a busy and challenging environment, you will be used to having to manage competing priorities and often having to use your own initiative to find solutions for customers.

Experience of using IT systems including the Locata case management system and Microsoft packages would be an advantage.

About You

You will be someone who is ready for a challenge to help address the housing crisis in Tameside by using new and innovative ways to engage with owners of properties that are empty in the area.

You will have a background in housing whether that be in the social sector or private and an understanding of the various legislation available to use.

You will be a clear and confident communicator with an ability to negotiate complex decisions and policies.

You will be able to use IT systems to create and maintain a case management system and database.

You will be a team player and seek out opportunities to support the wider team whenever possible.

Creativity is a key factor in this role and the ability to be able to bring to life the vision of Tameside in supporting residents is key

The ability to work collaboratively with partners is a must alongside a track record of delivering projects
