Summary
Post Title: Early Years Project Improvement Delivery Officer
Team: Early years and School Readiness
A vacancy has arisen for an Early Years Project Improvement Delivery Officer the post sits within the Early Years and School Readiness Team. The vacancy is full time, working 5 days per week, fixed term for 1 year.
You will be expected to provide:
- To support relationships and co-production across the Partnerships and voluntary sector in Bury in respect of services provided to Children and Young People
- To support development, maintain and review robust project plans to ensure delivery of objectives in a systematic and timely manner
- To support the process of securing internal and external funding to support initiatives, including development of business cases and bids
- To liaise with internal and external stakeholders, build positive relationships, and ensure meaningful involvement and engagement with programmes.
- To support specific/bespoke projects on behalf of the Management Team, including research, analysis and reporting
- To maintain a sound understanding of national, regional and local developments that may impact on the Department, ensuring the Departmental Management Team are appropriately briefed
You will be Part of a skilled, friendly and supportive team and work closely with a wide range of professionals.
The Early years Safeguarding Lead will be required to:
- Support delivery of the Early Years Entitlements and The Wraparound Childcare Programme and other aspect of Early Years development as required
- Develop Projects in accordance with Early Years Delivery and Wraparound Childcare Programme
- Review and report on the delivery of workstreams and projects to Senior Leadership
- To provide organisational support for project groups
- To risk manage projects and act to address identified areas of concern
You must have:
- Graduate level qualification or equivalent substantial experience
- Project Management Qualification (or significant experience of project management and willingness to achieve a relevant agreed qualification)
- Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and develop joint objectives with stakeholders and senior decision makers, and collaboratively achieving these objectives through effective relationship management.
- Experience of multi-agency working
- Experience of working in a programme / project management environment
- Experience of risk management and ensuring delivery against identified objectives and milestones.
- Experience of working in a high-pressured environment using initiative and managing and prioritising workloads within strict deadlines and timescales
- Ability to understand complex conversations and to promptly distil the information into tangible actions
- Relevant skills and experience including keyboard skills, accuracy and speed; IT skills and extensive use of all aspects of Microsoft Office
- Ability to design, write, summarise and produce excellent quality and accurate documents, eg letters, minutes, presentations and reports
- Emotionally resilient with proven ability to deal with sensitive and upsetting situations / people.
You will report directly to the Wraparound Childcare Programme Project Officer: Rebecca Hunter
You will work across the borough of Bury delivering services within and to our Early Years Centre, Childrens Centre Family Hub and Early Years providers.
Dependent on service requirements, you may be required to work on a rota basis with some evening and weekend that occasionally may be required.
