Summary
The post holder will attend both civil and criminal courts as required to assist the court as a professional witness. The post-holder will continue to be available to attend court beyond the end of their employment with the service. The post-holder will be expected to attend and contribute to educational/peer review meetings (minimum of 4 per year) and will be supported to attend external courses and educational opportunities in the field of forensic sexual offences medicine and obtain additional qualifications in the field such as MFFLM (SOE), LFFLM (SOE). They will be expected to complete appraisal and CPD activities in accordance with the GMC The post holder will be expected to provide a DNA sample for elimination purposes as part of their role.
