Summary


We are looking to appoint a Data Clerk for Intensive Care National Audit and Research Centre Data collection (ICNARC) to join the Intensive Care
team at Scarborough Hospital.

The post holder will provide a comprehensive data entry service to the Critical Care Network within the Critical Care directorate. Working hours to be agreed but the department will be reasonably flexible with times.

The post-holder will be expected to organise their workload and co-ordinate their activities with other intensive care unit staff to ensure that an efficient service is provided.

The post holder will carry out their duties in such a way to make a direct and positive contribution to the organisation of the work. It is essential that the post holder should exercise initiative commensurate with the role and vital that confidentiality is maintained at all times.

It is essential that the applicant has GCSE/O'Level English or equivalent and proven excellent data entry skills with excellent attention to detail.

You will have a flexible approach to work, be well organised, with the ability to prioritise, and be able to work effectively as a team member, having good communication skills and a willingness to learn. Experience of ICNARC data entry is preferred but training can be given.



The post holder will be responsible for coordinating and managing complex data generated from the Intensive Care unit. The post holder will undertake data collection to enable participation in the Intensive Care National Audit and Research Centre. The post holder will undertake data collection for internal audit and national and local research programmes.
They will be required to excursive a degree of independent judgement on a regular basis, ensuring accurate data input and highlighting any
concerns regarding the data before it is fully collated and submitted to the national data base. They will be expected to work with minimal
supervision.
