Part Time - 19.43 hours per week
Band 3 - Salary Range £28,011 – £30,230 per annum (pro rata)
Plus Distant Island Allowance of £2,482 per annum (pro rata)

Based at Montfield Dental Health Centre in Lerwick, you will work as part of a team providing sterilised equipment for the NHS Dental service. This is an important role in ensuring the safe and effective provision of dentistry in Shetland.

Educated to standard grade level in English and Numeracy, with good IT skills, you should be willing to undertake the NES: Decontamination of RMD’s course, aiming to complete this within 6 months of commencing the role. You should have good interpersonal skills, the ability to work well both within a team and on your own initiative, without direct supervision. Full UK Driving licence. Previous experience within a health care setting and a good understanding of infection control procedures are desirable.

You will be expected to comply with the Induction Standards and Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers within 3 months of commencing your role – details can be viewed at www.workinginhealth.com/standards/healthcaresupportworkers
