This is an exciting opportunity to work flexibly across evenings and weekends, supporting young people and families during times of acute mental health need.
About the Service
The Interact and Crisis Teams play a vital role in providingrapid assessments, early interventions, and short-term supportfor children and young people experiencing a mental health crisis. Working closely with acute hospitals, community services, and families, we ensure timely and compassionate care that promotes recovery and resilience.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll be a qualifiedmental health nurse, social worker, or occupational therapistwith professional registration (NMC/HCPC). You will have:
• Experience inCAMHS, crisis intervention, or liaison psychiatry.
• Strong assessment and risk management skills.
• The ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A flexible, compassionate approach to supporting children, young people, and their families.
• Provideurgent mental health assessmentsfor children and young people presenting in crisis.
• Deliverbrief, evidence-based interventionsto support emotional stability and prevent hospital admission.
• Liaise closely with multidisciplinary professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Offersupport and guidance to families and carersto manage and de-escalate crisis situations.
• Contribute to a responsive, person-centred service that focuses on safety, empowerment, and recovery.
