Kickstart Your Career as an Apprentice Quality Technician!
Are you ready to dive into the world of engineering and make a real impact? We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented
individual to join our Quality Department as an Apprentice Quality Technician! This is your chance to gain hands-on experience,
learn valuable skills, and build a solid foundation for a successful career.
About the Job
You'll be a vital part of our team, helping to ensure our products and services meet customer requirements, industry standards,
and regulatory compliance. Imagine learning how to inspect industrial heat exchangers, performing pressure tests, and making sure
everything meets the highest standards. This isn't just a job; it's a structured training pathway that will set you up to become a
fully competent Quality Technician or Engineer.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Hands-on Inspections: Get stuck in with dimensional, visual, and non-destructive inspections of heat exchanger parts. You'll
learn how things are really made.
* Quality Control: Help with important paperwork like inspection reports and certificates, making sure everything is documented
correctly.
* Industry Know-How: Discover and apply key industry codes and standards (like ASME, ISO, PED) – these are super important in
engineering.
* Equipment Know How : Learn how to keep our inspection and measuring equipment perfectly calibrated.
* Problem Solving: Assist in figuring out why things might not be perfect and help implement solutions to make them better.
* Team Work: Work closely with experienced Quality Technicians, engineers, and our shop floor teams. You'll gain practical
knowledge and skills from the best.
* Safety First: Always follow our health, safety, and environmental rules – keeping everyone safe is our priority.
About You:
You don't need years of experience – this is an apprenticeship after all - but we'd love it if you:
* Are currently working towards a technical qualification (or have one already).
* Have a genuine interest in Quality and engineering.
* Are adaptable and ready to learn new things every day.
* Love solving problems and can stay cool under pressure.
* Have awesome communication skills – you'll be talking to lots of different people.
* Have a keen eye for detail – nothing gets passed you.
* Are a team player who enjoys collaborating with others.
What Happens Next?
We know you'll be eager to hear back! If your application stands out, we will invite you to the next stage: our Candidate
Experience Day.
This isn't a scary exam! Think of it as a chance for us to see your talent in action and for you to ask us anything about the
apprenticeship or our company. The day will feature a relaxed group activity, a short, practical task relevant to the job, and a
final chat with a member of our team. We look forward to meeting you!
Our recruitment and selection process has been developed to ensure that it is consistent, fair and provides equality of
opportunity - all selection decisions are based solely on technical and behavioural competencies. We do not discriminate on the
grounds of race, colour, or nationality, ethnic or national origins, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, marital or
civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity, disability, religion or belief, age or any other current or future protected
characteristic as defined in the current Equality Act of England and Wales. As an organisation we also promote an environment
which encourages diversity of characteristics and thought, where you feel included, safe and confident to be the best version of
yourself and do your best work every day.
