Summary
The Class 2 Driver’s role will involve:
Delivering / collecting plant machinery nationwide on time and in a professional manner.
Experience fastening loads with straps/chains.
Completing the associated paperwork accurately.
Promote company image.
To correctly operate the company vehicle as instructed and ensure it is kept in good order.
To report any traffic violations/speeding offences to the management.
Ensure that the Tachograph is completed regularly and correctly.
To visually check and record the condition of equipment collected and inform the customer, the plant department and foreman fitter of any damage.
Ensure that the groups health, safety & environmental policies are adhered to.
Reporting any discrepancies to the Transport Manager.
The essential criteria for the Class 2 Driver are:
• Category C driving entitlement
• IPAF, Crane Lorry Loader and Safe Loading & Unloading (desirable but not essential)
• Driver’s Digital Tacho Card
• CPC Card
• Sound knowledge of UK roads
Plant hire / construction background and multi drop driving experience is an advantage.
The hourly pay rate is negotiable.
The hours of work are between Monday to Friday, 7.30am-5.30pm with 30-minute lunch break. Minimum 42.5 hours per week.
