The Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Manager to lead our established adult residential care home in Cardiff. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the service, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable adults while leading a dedicated team of care professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee care delivery in line with best practice and individual needs.
Ensure compliance with RISCA and other relevant legislation.
Lead and mentor staff, manage rotas, and support professional development.
Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health & safety, and quality assurance.
Liaise with families, professionals, and external agencies.
Manage budgets and contribute to the financial sustainability of the service.
Support recruitment and retention of staff in collaboration with the corporate team.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
QCF Level 5 in Leadership for Health & Social Care Services (or equivalent).
Proven management experience in a care setting.
Strong knowledge of learning disabilities, autism, and mental health.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Desirable:
Experience with internal audits and quality improvement.
Welsh language skills (spoken and/or written).
Level 3 Safeguarding qualification.
Knowledge of medication management and PBS strategies.
