This vibrant and diverse nursery located in Beckenham is currently looking to appoint a new Early Years Nursery Practitioner to join the welcoming team of staff. Minimum Level 2 qualification in Early Years or Childcare is essential for this position and previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting would be desirable.
There is a real emphasis on outdoor learning, building self-esteem and excellent development at this nursery, done through play and the best available teaching methods, with the aim to combine the best elements of different learning approaches for a broad and fulfilling nursery experience. Working as a team, the nursery staff experiment with new lessons and approaches and welcome new ideas from every member of staff, so as a Nursery Practitioner you can have a real input into the teaching!

As an Early Years Nursery Practitioner your duties will include:
• Assisting children with early reading and early maths skills development
• Encouraging development through play and exploration, and activities that are stimulating for children's imagination and creativity
• Providing a safe, supportive and stimulating environment, where every child is able to grow at their own pace
• Planning exciting and engaging lessons and activities, following the EYFS curriculum closely
• Helping children to develop positive relationships and form/build on their social skills
• Carrying out observations and assessing key children's progress
This is a permanent full time position for the suitable Nursery Practitioner, to start ASAP. Located in Beckenham, this nursery is in a great place to get to as there are good transport links and staff parking. There are also Room Leader opportunities available.
