Farm Technicians – Immediate Start | Loch Damph, South


Location: Loch Damph, South | Positions: 2 | Type: Full-time, Permanent | Salary: £30,000 + £9,000 living allowance + biannual discretionary bonuses

Join our freshwater team at Migdale Smolt Ltd, a family-run, Scottish-owned aquaculture company, and build a rewarding career in salmon farming. This is a full-time role averaging 43 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with weekend cover every second week.

Role Overview:
As a Farm Technician, you’ll be part of a close-knit team responsible for the care and wellbeing of our freshwater salmon. You’ll work outdoors, helping to maintain the highest standards of fish health, welfare, and site biosecurity. Your key duties will include:

  • Feeding management and fish inspections

  • Environmental monitoring and boat operations

  • Routine maintenance of equipment and site infrastructure

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is interested in aquaculture and eager to learn

  • Is a flexible, collaborative team player

  • Is committed to safety and reliable

  • Is comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

  • Has a valid driver’s license

Experience in aquaculture or similar outdoor work is helpful, but full training will be provided for the right person.
