Summary

We are currently seeking a Tutor to join us to work upon an EOTAS provision. If you are a SEND-experienced, compassionate educator then we want to hear from you!

You will be responsible for creating a bespoke curriculum with a student-led approach. As part of this education, you will shape the curriculum to incorporate the student's interests, strengths, and support needs. Your goal will be to deliver a tailored curriculum, allowing the student to work within a low pressure, enjoyable environment to ignite their passion for learning.

Your Responsibilities:
- Providing up to 15 hours of engaging, one-to-one tuition sessions during standard school hours (09:00 to 15:00, Monday to Friday, evenings and weekends are not appropriate) term-time only
- Design and deliver personalised lessons in core subjects, focusing on bridging the gaps of KS1 content and offering greater depth work at a KS2 level
- Collaborate closely with therapists, parents, carers, and case workers as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team
- Monitor and report on academic progress and attainment through clear written and verbal communication
- To provide reliable access to education for the young person you are supporting, for at least one academic year

What we are looking for:
- A minimum of 2 years' teaching experience at KS1/2 level
- In-depth understanding of neurodivergent learners, with experience in low-demand or trauma-informed approaches
- Background in alternative education settings, such as EOTAS, PRUs, or specialist provision
- Skilled at aligning lessons with EHCP outcomes and adapting methods to meet individual needs

Essential criteria:
- You must hold a degree (BA/BSc) within Primary Education, or a PGCE
- You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- You must have a student-led approach to education, with the ability to adapt to the student's needs
- To hold an Enhanced DBS certificate which is registered on the DBS Update Service
- At a minimum, you must hold a Level 1 (or higher) Safeguarding certificate (Qualification may be gained as part of the onboarding process, if successful)
