The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join the ‘Bolton Family’ and be a part of our Children’s Social Care administration team. The admin in the service support both R&A (Referral and Assessment) and IFD (Integrated Fron Door) teams of Social Workers. Several agencies make up the IFD who work together to triage referrals in respect of children, to ensure that children and their families receive the right support at the right time. The R& Teams will work with families to identify services to support them, and if necessary, transfer to other Social Work teams in Bolton.
The administrators supporting the teams are integral to ensuring workers are supported and the post covers a number of statutory duties including, but not limited to providing admin support for the Social Workers in the Team, arranging meetings, completing statutory checks as required, sending letters and assessments to professionals and families, retrieving and collating documents from various sources, uploading documents to LCS (Liquid Logic data base), admin rota to cover IFD tasks and manning the inbox and triaging emails for action by the team, updating trackers for teams, and covering Reception for Children’s Social Care teams based at Castle Hill.

You will join a committed team who are proud of the service they deliver to help children, young people and families achieve their potential. Training will be given to support the successful candidate in fulfilling the role.

About You
You will demonstrate effective communication skills in order to present information both verbally and in writing. You will have the ability to work as part of a team and under your own supervision. You should be able to demonstrate effective organisational skills, with the ability to plan, develop and prioritise your work.
You must possess accurate literacy skills to ensure correct information is collated and processed and have good systems skills.
Experience of using a range of computer software packages to produce accurate, well-presented documents is essential and you will be proficient in the use of packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
