To Supply East Renfrewshire Council with Bus Driving for Additional Support needs children to and from school.

You will be responsible for undertaking the safe operation and driving duties in support of driving passenger carrier vehicles (PCV) for the Council’s Education Department.

In undertaking this role you will be responsible for ensuring your vehicle is checked to the appropriate standards and you will work collaboratively with colleagues in other Departments to ensure a high standard of service is delivered to the assigned client group.

At times, you will be expected operate across the full range and remit of Neighbourhood Services in terms of providing effective, modern front-line services to the residents of East Renfrewshire.Please note fitness to drive is an essential requirement of the role and if you are made a conditional offer of employment, you will be required to take a form to your GP to verify your fitness to drive group 2 (category D/D1) vehicles. You will be liable to pay any fees charged by your GP for completing the form.

On completion of additional years of service by 1 January of each year, following the anniversary of the date of appointment, your term time salary will be adjusted to include a payment in lieu of the additional leave day accrued at the beginning of each leave year for the first 10 years of service.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. It is an offence therefore to apply if you are barred from working with children.
