The power of good for Britain.Location: Sizewell C, Leiston, Suffolk (5 days per week onsite).Employment type: Permanent full-time.Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 - dependent on experience, plus benefits. We’re looking for a Site-Based Environmental Advisor to join the Sizewell C Delivery Construction Team. Help us lead the charge in the rebirth of nuclear power, providing low-carbon electricity to over 7 million homes! As an Environmental Advisor, you’ll collaborate with our Tier 1 Partners to ensure our construction project meets the highest environmental standards. You’ll play a key role in managing compliance, driving sustainability, and supporting the entire construction delivery team through one of the most exciting phases of the project. Your expertise will ensure we meet all regulatory consents and permits, making a real difference in environmental performance. Key Responsibilities:Key ResponsibilitiesConduct site inspections and report environmental issuesAdvise on environmental legislation and planning constraintsReview and ensure compliance of contractors’ Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) and RAMsLead and support investigations of environmental incidents, including reporting and recommending corrective actionsEngage with stakeholders to build collaborative relationshipsSupport self-assessments and internal audits to ensure compliance with legislation, SZC processes, and best practicesEscalate contractual issues to the Environmental & Sustainability Manager as appropriate Your Profile:Experience in environmental management on construction or industrial projects.In-depth knowledge of UK environmental legislation.Excellent communication and influencing skills.
