Management Accountant

Location: Liverpool (with occasional travel across regional offices)
Salary: Up to £46,289 per annum
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time, Hybrid working

Are you a confident and commercially minded Management Accountant looking to take the next step in your career? We're working with a forward-thinking organisation in Liverpool that is seeking a talented finance professional to join their team and play a key role in driving financial performance and strategic insight.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is either a CIMA or ACCA finalist (or newly qualified) and has a strong background in management accounts alongside proven business partnering experience. You'll be working closely with operational teams, providing financial support, analysis, and helping to shape decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

-Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts for the group and its subsidiaries.
-Lead monthly budget review meetings with operational teams, providing financial insight and challenge.
-Support annual budget setting and in-year forecasting.
-Assist with financial statement preparation and audit processes.
-Ensure compliance with financial policies and contribute to risk management.
-Identify opportunities for efficiencies and value-for-money improvements.
-Support long-term financial planning and tax-related matters (VAT/corporation tax).

What We're Looking For:

-CIMA or ACCA finalist (or equivalent experience); newly qualified candidates also considered.
-Strong experience in producing management accounts and financial reporting.
-Proven ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders and influence decision-making.
-Excellent Excel and financial systems skills.
-A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a keen eye for continuous improvement.
-Experience in financial compliance and risk management is desirable.
