Summary
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
The overall purpose of the Senior Quantity Surveyor role is to provide commercial and cost management expertise in the delivery of Llanw’s work programmes, helping to maintain and improve Valleys to Coast’s homes and estates to the highest standards. Working closely with the Commercial Manager, the Senior Quantity Surveyor will support procurement activity, prepare pricing documents (such as schedules of work and bills of quantities), and manage contractor and subcontractor claims, valuations, and commercial disputes. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will line manage the trainee quantity surveyor and will provide support and guidance as well as tasks to aid their development. The role is essential in ensuring value for money, budgetary control, and effective financial reporting across all projects.
As part of the role you will be required to manage contracts from inception to final account including the pricing of tenders/estimates, preparing and submitting valuations, pricing and agreeing variations, support the purchasing team with the regular review of material rates and analyse most frequently purchased items and assist the Commercial Manager with providing commercial support across Llanw as required, including (but not limited to) procurement support and advice.
