Job Description

An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for a part-time Community Resources Assistant to join our Community Resources service on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2026.

NRS brings together a diverse range of Glasgow City Council operational, technical and development services that focus on sustainable transport, place making and delivering essential city services.

Position Details

Our Community Resources department work out of our community facilities in Ashgill and Maryhill, which offer a range of community services aimed at preventing crime and antisocial behaviour, while promoting social inclusion and a sense of community.

The Community Resource Assistant will assist in the efficient and effective day-to-day operation of our community facilities and will help develop a programme of activities for the community that are needs led. This will include working with partner agencies in planning, developing, and evaluating activities, and ensuring that the facilities provide welcoming, clean and safe facilities for the public.

The role may be based at either The Maryhill Hub, 186 Wyndford Rd, Glasgow, G20 8HF or The Ashgill Recreation Centre, 340-342 Ashgill Road, Glasgow, G22 7HW.

Contract Details

Weekly Hours: 31.5 per week

Work Pattern: Will involve working 2-dayshifts and 2-backshifts per week on a Tuesday to Friday pattern, with the agreed hours per day to be discussed at point of offer. An example pattern would be 1:30pm – 9:30pm on Tuesday & Wednesday; 8:30am – 4pm on Thursday; and 8:30am – 6:30pm on Friday, with a 30-minutes unpaid break each day.

Annual Salary: £21,830.11 - £25,108.66 on an incremental scale

Additional Payments: In addition to the annual salary the role attract an annual non-standard hours (NSH) allowance of £585.04.
