Summary

Introduction
I am a 17-year-old young man with Autism with an interest in animals. I am looking for a Personal Assistant to help me to build my confidence and develop my independence and social skills, supporting me to develop and undertake my hobbies and interests whilst helping me to improve my life skills.

Duties
The role will include taking or encouraging me to go to the shops, going to cafes or playing sport, supporting my conservation voluntary work, developing my life skills, or building my confidence using public transport.

Hours: 4 hours per week
During term time Friday or Saturday. Days may differ during the college holiday periods. Some flexibility is required.

Rate: £12.21ph

Essential Requirements
A clean driving license, own car and suitable business insurance.
A satisfactory DBS check.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and knowledge and understanding of safeguarding.
Ability to undertake physical activities.
Ability to be calm and predictable.

Desired Experience
Knowledge and experience of autism and a therapeutic approach.
