Are you an experienced landscape professional who enjoys working collaboratively? If so, we have an exciting opportunity in the EFM landscape services team for someone with a passion for landscape management, looking to use their skills within the landscape industry to make a positive impact on our in-house landscape services provision. We are seeking to recruit an experienced landscape supervisor who will actively work with and engage the UoS in-house landscape service team aligned to our core university principles. Your knowledge and enthusiasm for providing exceptional operational leadership and support to a diverse operational team will be an asset to the Department of Engineering and Maintenance, Landscape Services and the wider university population.
We are seeking a person who will impact how we manage our estate aligned to our core objectives of continuous improvement, sustainable working, compliance and health and safety. You will be highly skilled in all aspects of landscape service delivery, providing technical support and supervision to the Landscape Services Team. You will relish the opportunity to use your expertise of operational maintenance, hard landscaping and horticulture, supporting continuous development and improvement
Our green spaces include (but are not limited to) the main campus, accommodation services and satellite locations to include AMRC and have a massive opportunity to enhance the reputation of the University and provide a lasting positive impression to those who visit the estate.
Your technical ability and competency in sustainable landscape services will ensure operational works are carried out to the high standard required by our world-class university. You will support the team, ensuring legislative compliance, a positive working culture is maintained, University core values are met and the University is represented positively at all times.
The role is primarily physical and active, and there is a requirement to work outside and support the team in all weathers to meet business requirements. Your flexibility will be an asset as there is a requirement and occasionally work out of hours during peak periods of business activity. We are seeking an individual who will support the Engineering; Maintenance Team’s strategic objectives of improved service levels, efficiencies of service, succession planning, IMS process, a positive health and safety culture, staff development, and legislative and localised compliance. Your in-depth technical knowledge and experience of supervision will support landscape services, ensuring the landscape services' values are optimised via continuous development and improvement.
