Summary


University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a Locum Consultant in Specialist Allergy (Adult Service). This is a 5 PA fixed term post.

This is a unique opportunity to work in the Specialist Allergy Department at the Royal National Ear, Nose and Throat and Eastman Dental Hospitals site.

The successful candidate will be joining a team of highly skilled and experienced professionals from a wide range of disciplines working collaboratively. The appointee must have a commitment to high quality patient care, innovative service models, delivery of performance targets, and excellence in education/training.

There is no on-call commitment.

This post is to maintain and develop the existing unique tertiary service at the Royal National ENT Hospital. The appointee should be experienced in medical management of routine and complex allergy.

The appointee should be able to demonstrate a commitment to audit, quality improvement, teamworking and leadership.

The successful applicant will work in Specialist Allergy delivering General Allergy clinics, and the job plan is expected to comprise 5 Programmed Activities per week.

The main duties are to deliver General Allergy Outpatient Clinics in order to maintain new and follow up patient capacity.

To work closely with the multidisciplinary team and develop innovative ways of working to sustain increasing patient load.

To participate in regular MDT meetings.

To undertake patient management to ensure that waiting times and guidelines are observed.

To provide high quality care to individuals affected by allergic disorders.
