Summary

What skills and experience we're looking for

The Local Academy Board of Wolverham Primary and Nursery school (part of Concordia MAT) wish to appoint an inspirational, highly motivated and caring teaching assistant to work within our own internal resources base for children with communication and interaction needs. The children are aged between year R and year 2. This is a temporary position (32.5 hours, term time) and will be till the end of the summer term. There is a possibility of it being extended but this will depend on numbers for autumn 2026. There are 6 children in the room working under the direction of our EYFS SENCo and room lead.

There may also be a position working in our Reception classroom as a general teaching assistant which would be suitable for those holding a qualification or not, though experience is essential in a school environment.

We are looking to employ a Teaching Assistant who shares our vision of excellence and has experience of supporting children with additional needs. We need someone who will nurture and provide an exciting and stimulating learning environment for our children alongside the current, strong team.

Our school community places the highest priority on keeping our children safe. Applicants for the post will be subject to stringent vetting and induction processes. The holder of this post will be required to work with children under the age of 18 in a position of trust, and is, therefore, exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

Visits to the school are encouraged. Please contact the school on 0151 351 5133 to confirm your attendance or if you are unable to make either of these dates. Closing date – 26th November at 3pm.

Dates to visit:

• Thursday 13th November at 4pm
