Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
1. To report to the relevant line manager any damages/vandalism noted or repairs that are required on a daily basis e.g. broken light fittings.
2. To report any faults in relation to equipment to the relevant line manager on a daily basis.
3. The operation of mechanical cleaning equipment.
4. The collection and removal of refuse
5. The safe use of cleaning chemicals and their storage. Ensuring that strict control is observed in materials used and dilution ratios, to prevent wastage.
6. To take part in ‘In-Service’ training as required.
7. To clean areas allocated including:- Toilets and washrooms, Offices/Classrooms, Corridors and walkways, Curtilages, use of variety of equipment.
8. To develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers/clients and colleagues.
9. Ensuring the area of work complies with legislation relating to Health & Safety and observe and implement specific responsibilities in relation to these matters as detailed in the Policy for Health & Safety.
10. To comply with health and safety policies, organisational statements and procedures, report any incidents / accidents/ hazards and take a pro-active approach to health and safety matters in order to protect yourself and others.
11. To promote the safeguarding of children
12. Any other duties of a similar nature related to this post that may be required from time-to- time.
13. You are required to safeguard and promote the welfare of children for whom you have responsibility, or with whom you come into contact, to include adhering to all specified procedures.
