Summary

Acorn by Synergie are searching for an experienced Chemical Site Manager with a strong background in COMAH to join our client based in Cheshire.

Reporting to the Group Operations Manager, the purpose of the role is to take responsibility for all operational aspects to ensure the facility runs safely, efficiently and in strict compliance with COMAH regulations.

Duties will include:

* Managing day to day manufacturing operations ensuring production targets are met efficiently, on time, within budget and to the required standards.

* Work closely with the Engineering and SHE Managers to support communication and interaction with regulatory bodies i.e HSE and EA.

* Lead and motivate the operations team including plant supervisors and operators to foster a strong safety first culture.

* Development and implementation of continuous improvement strategies for EHS, productivity, cost and product quality. Identify and manage risks.

* Control the sites annual capital and operational budgets.

* Manage regulatory inspections and audits by the competent authority.

The successful candidate must be degree educated in Chemistry, Chemical or Process related engineering discipline. A strong background in the chemical sector with COMAH knowledge and experience.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 7am-4pm
