Casual Hours Early Years staff required to work in our innovative, friendly and exciting Early Years Setting


Shifts are offered as and when required, to cover absence of staff due to training, annual leave etc. The Centre is open 8am to 6pm.


You may be contacted at short notice on the day to work due to staff absence or be given hrs up to 2 weeks in advance of the shifts we need you to work.

About the Role:


As a Nursery Assistant:


• Assist in creating a safe, stimulating, fun and inclusive learning environment for children.


• Support the development of children’s social, emotional, and educational needs through engaging activities and play.


• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.


• You will be supported in gaining experience and confidence with young children.


About You:


We are looking for someone who:


• Experience of working with nursery aged children or hold a NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Childcare and Education.


• Have children’s best interests at heart and be part of seeing them progress.


• Be able to demonstrate a commitment to providing childcare in a non-discriminatory and inclusive manner.


• Has good communication and teamwork skills.


• Has a caring and responsible attitude and be committed to work in a busy environment with a flexible approach to work


• Be willing to undertake training specific to the role


No prior experience is necessary, but a genuine enthusiasm for Early Years education is essential.
