Bathgate Academy is a six-year comprehensive school offering our 1200 students in the Bathgate Area a progressive, relevant, challenging and enjoyable curriculum with opportunities for personalisation and choice. We strive to ensure that students have the highest quality learning experiences. The senior leadership team comprises the Head Teacher, three Depute Head Teachers and the Area Business Support Manager. Bathgate Academy is well supported by the parent council and there are positive partnerships with local community groups.
Duties will include word processing, tasks associated with the maintenance of all school records in relation to pupils and staff, telephone, reception and reprographics duties, ordering resources, distribution of school mail and dealing with pupil enquiries.
You must have experience of working within an office environment and good IT skills are essential. You should be able to work as part of a team and enjoy a variety of tasks within your remit.
The successful applicant will:
- Be confident in the use of IT systems e.g. Excel, Word
- Have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively
- Have the ability to work flexibly to meet deadlines
- Have the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Have good written skills, with attention to accuracy and detail
- Be able to respond appropriately to customer needs
