Are you a positive, caring person looking for a truly rewarding role?

I am looking for a kind and patient personal assistant to support my very gentle sweet natured 4-year-old son, who has global developmental delay and Autism. He loves soft play and climbing! He is pre-verbal, can be noisy at times and doesn’t like sudden loud noises.

The role involves supporting him both at home and in the community – taking him to activities he enjoys, helping with mealtimes and occasionally supporting with bedtime routines.

Someone who is loving, understanding and patient, who genuinely enjoys spending time with children would be ideal for this position.

Duties include:
- Personal grooming
- Eating and drinking assistance
- Cooking
- Transportation
- Companionship
- Dressing / undressing
- Bathroom assistance
- Accessing social and leisure activities e.g. Walks, going to the park, soft play, etc

Candidate qualities:
- Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
- Reliable with good timekeeping
- Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
- Hygienic, tidy and well organised
- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Honest and cheerful
- Creative
- Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
- Able to always work to high standards of health & safety

Additional requirements
Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours
