At RAF Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, Serco has been providing multi-activity and engineering support since 1997. Serco proudly support the RAF and MoD, supplying around 20 different services onsite, from engine and aircraft maintenance, to fuelling and ground control services.

Serco are recruiting for an Airfield Services Handler/Agent. The Airfield Services Handler/Agent is accountable to their Airfield Services Shift Supervisor either directly or through Airfield services Senior Handler for the correct, timely and safe completion of all allocated tasks.

Main Accountabilities:

Ensure the correct Serco issued PPE for the allocated task is worn at all times and that all PPE is serviceable and fit for purpose.
Maintain the work area and rest facilities in a neat and tidy condition.
Report all building/services defects within your work area to their management chain.
The submission, where applicable, of reports (In-Forms, DASORS & Serco’s Near Miss etc.).
Observe the requirements of all relevant procedures (AESO’s, MAP, MAM-P/D, WI’s & LOP’s).
Correctly maintain and update their PDF when required.
Carry out all reasonable allocated tasks.
Attend training courses when nominated.
Comply with the roles & responsibilities of an individual employee in respect to Health & Safety law.

What you need to do the job:

Be able to pass/attain Security Check (SC) Clearance.
Have a colour perception level, of at least CP2.
Have less than 6 penalty points on their civilian driving licence
Be able to self-motivate, to achieve and deliver the highest engineering & safety standards possible.
Current Aircraft handling experience is preferred but not a necessity.
Aircraft operations management experience including administrative documentation, aircraft documentation, aircraft support services, weight and balance calculations, operations support (flight planning), aircraft messaging (movement messages, Unit Load Device management, payload messaging, operations support messaging)

MoD Security Clearance. Due to the nature of the organisation, all employees of Serco are required to be security cleared to SC level.
