Job Title: CleanerRate of Pay: £12.60 per hourContract: PermanentType of Employment: Part TimeHours: 5 hours per weekLocation: British Transport Police - Lincoln - Lincoln StationJob OverviewIn your new role as a Cleaning Operative you will ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained and in safe working order and meeting all agreed SLAs. Build your knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, when the work needs to be carried out and all cleaning equipment and chemicals used on the premises while following Health and Safety requirements. You will need to undertake successfully all training required to deliver the cleaning role. You will be required to work within a team and can work under their own initiative. You will need to build positive and productive working relationships with all customers, delivery excellent customer service and seeking ways to continuously improve and exceed expectations.
Qualifications
Successfully candidate must have been residing in the United Kingdom for the past 3 years.
NPPV 2 ( None Personal Police Vetting Level 2 )
Main Duties
-Undertake successfully all training required to deliver the cleaning role.
-Work within a team and under their own initiative.
-Adhere to all Mitie Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures.
-Maintain the designated area to an agreed level of cleanliness in line with the Contract and relevant SLAs, carrying out all daily weekly and periodic tasks as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor.
-Ensure that the service is delivered effectively and efficiently to a high standard.
-Ensure all equipment is kept clean, well maintained and is a safe working order.
-Report any maintenance requirements identified during cleaning tasks.
-Always maintain security - locking doors, following lost property procedures etc.
-Have a full knowledge and understanding of the designated cleaning area, including the agreed work specification and time allocated to facilities.
-Have a full working knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals used by Mitie.
-Set a good example in terms of dress, behaviour, punctuality, and attendance.
-Ensure all Safeguarding Policies are always adhered to and raise any concerns in line with the Mitie policy.
-Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
What we are looking for
-Cleaning experience is preferred however training can be provided.
-Reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude.
-Ability to work to a schedule and as part of a team.
-Capable of working to their own initiative where appropriate.
-Be open and honest.
-Be self-driven and determined.
-Strive for continuous improvements in service delivery.
