We’re looking for a visionary leader to take on the role of Head of Asset Management, driving strategic oversight and operational excellence across our asset portfolio. This is a high-impact position where you’ll lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and ensure our function is equipped to meet both immediate and long-term organisational goals.
In this role, you’ll be accountable for delivering key initiatives that support our business strategy, while fostering a culture of safety, wellbeing, and inclusion. Asset Planning & Performance Management Develop and manage the Network Asset Management Plan (NAMP) and supporting Business Plan, ensuring delivery of regulatory outputs and obligations to bodies such as Ofgem and HSE.
Regulatory & Risk Compliance Oversee forecasting, risk assessment, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations, while supporting performance reporting across investment activities.
Stakeholder Engagement & Influence Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders—including regulators, partners, and customers—by promoting Cadent’s values and fostering a culture of safety, wellbeing, and inclusion.
Data-Driven Decision Making Manage large-scale data capture operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, and use recognized decision support tools to guide strategic asset management initiatives.

Essential
- Certificate from the Institute of Asset Management (IAM)
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel for work
Desirable
- IAM Diploma
- Degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, asset management, business)
